WorldSkills is the world competition of vocational skills – an international event that brings together the best young professionals aged 16 to 22 (up to 25 in some categories) from more than 80 countries.
Every two years, participants take part in demanding practical tests held in highly professional environments that replicate real working conditions. The level of skill required is extremely high: precision, speed, autonomy, problem-solving ability, and technical mastery.
In South Tyrol, the qualifying rounds for the WorldSkills Competition take place as part of the Provincial Competition. The top-ranked participants in each trade category automatically qualify for the world event.
For this competition, our team competes under the official name WorldSkills South Tyrol, Italy, proudly showcasing the professional excellence of our region on the international stage.
Taking part in the WorldSkills Competition means more than just competing – it is a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth, a chance to challenge yourself alongside the world’s best, and to represent the quality and skills of our region with pride.
The last edition took place in Lyon (France) in 2024. The next edition will take place in Shanghai (China) in September 2026.
