Electrical installations

What they do:

Electrical installation technicians design, install, test, and maintain electrical systems of various types, working in both residential and industrial settings. They are qualified to handle the generation, conversion, distribution, and management of electrical energy, and build earthing systems, lightning protection systems, antenna installations, and satellite systems.

They install and program call, signal, alarm, and video surveillance systems, as well as control and automation systems, BUS networks, ISDN distribution networks, and other category 0 installations. In addition, they can build compensation systems, static and mechanical inverters, battery storage systems, DC devices, and equipment for energy consumption and management, along with industrial electrical and electronic instrumentation.

Electrical installation technicians plan, coordinate, and document work processes, calculate time, materials, and costs, and work independently or in teams according to specific projects or work orders. They are responsible for organising the workforce needed to complete installations efficiently and in line with client requirements, and they monitor, evaluate, and ensure the quality of completed work.
