- What are the WorldSkills?

WorldSkills are international competitions where young professionals from around the world showcase their talent and technical skills in a wide range of professions.
- Who can take part in the WorldSkills or EuroSkills?

The competitions are open to young professionals and apprentices.
The minimum and maximum age vary depending on the skill and competition:
- WorldSkills: usually 16–22 years (up to 25 in some categories)
- EuroSkills: usually 16–25 years (up to 26 in some categories)
- What is the difference between WorldSkills, EuroSkills, and the Provincial Competition?

The Provincial Competition is the local selection event; the EuroSkills are held at European level, while the WorldSkills are the global competition.
- How can I take part in the Provincial Competition?

Applications are open every two years. You can apply as a participant or expert by filling out the online form. (Next applications will open in 2027).
- When will the next WorldSkills and EuroSkills take place?

- WorldSkills Shanghai 2026: 22–27 September 2026
- EuroSkills Düsseldorf 2027: 22–26 September 2027
- Where will the next Provincial Competition take place?

In 2027, as part of the education fair FUTURUM at the Bolzano Exhibition Centre.
- Do I need to be employed or attend a school to participate?

Yes, participants must be enrolled in a school (University, vocational, technical or general secondary school) or employed in a company related to their profession.
- Are there any participation fees?

No, participation is free of charge.
The costs are covered by the organisers and the sector partners (Leads).
- Who trains the participants before the competition?

Participants are trained by experts, teachers, and professionals with experience in WorldSkills competitions.
- Can I become an expert?

Yes. To apply, you must have:
- a recognised professional qualification,
- work experience in the relevant field, and
- availability to take part in training sessions and the competition.
Experts are nominated by their Lead organisation and approved by WorldSkills South Tyrol Italy.
- How can a company or association become a project partner?
